RAS Preparation Tips

1. Study Precisely

Always study what is given in the syllabus and try not to fit in things other than the given syllabus. There are no specific books written that focus entirely on the main syllabus.

Try not to get trapped by these books. Always study as given in the syllabus and keep revising what you study.

2. Taking Down Notes

Make notes by yourself and reduce reading notes made by others. Everyone’s got to make notes to keep what they’ve studied and researched handy.

Arrange the notes that you have made according to the syllabus. Make a summary of each topic of the syllabus up to a page.

These notes will somehow reflect in your exam time. RAS coachings also provides notes to their students.

3. Prevent Overreading

Overreading is the main issue with people appearing for such intense exams. The pressure of writing the exam is so much that the aspirants study the same topic from various sources in search of hard work.

Hard work does not mean to keep studying the same things forever, you are not only killing your precious time but you are ultimately leading yourself to confusion

To tackle such a scenario rely on no more than two authentic sources. These preparation tips are gonna help you a lot.

4. Revision Time

Revision is the most important thing in the preparation part. Keep revising the topics that you have studied so far. After revising the topic write it down as if you were asked to write in your exam. This will bring more clarity.

Revision is the best thing, it helps in improving memorising power of the brain even if you have studied a lot but never forget to revise what you’ve studied. However, these tips of preparation are gonna be of great use. This is the most important RAS Preparation Tips.

5. The Language Paper

The language paper is of great importance. However, less time is required in this part of the paper. The language paper also decides the rank you will be holding.

Anyway, the main part of the language paper is the grammar for both English and Hindi.

Grammar accounts for 25% or fifty marks of the entire language paper. Try to complete the entire grammar course.

Even if you are from a good English background study the necessary topics because overconfidence can also bring you down.

6. Find Out What Is Important

The best thing here to do is to go with the previous year question papers, the previous year question papers give you a clear idea of what type of questions are being asked from the past.

These papers also tell the importance of a particular subject so that you can work accordingly and strengthen that part of the paper.

7. Rajasthan Current Affairs

The daily Rajasthan newspaper is not just enough for the mains it requires a more accurate and precise quality of news that can be seen in the monthly magazines. Some government-issued magazines are Moomal or the panorama.

It’s necessary to also read the newspaper along with magazines as it can be of great help during the interview round.

The Hindu newspaper may be of some help but if it’s a state examination One would go with the Rajasthan daily.

8. Studying Hours

Hours of study is the most important thing that people usually ask, how much time do you need to study for RAS?

Well, it not only depends upon the hours of study But it also depends on the quality of study you need to put in during these hours.

Generally, 8-10 hours of studying is necessary if you are putting in all the effort from your side. Many people ask to study for about 15 -16 hours and don’t listen to them. You can’t go around studying all day.

Just keep working hard and study smartly because this exam requires smart work along with hard work. This is again one of the most important RAS Preparation Tips.

9. Writing Answers

Developing writing skills is also a plus point in the exam the examiner can only judge your knowledge based on what you have written. So how you represent your answer paper is also a matter of concern here.

Keep your answers up to the point and try not to fill unnecessary spaces as you are not giving the exam for long writing but for getting selected in the Exam.
